"Cocktail Anyone" Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch # 67

"Cocktail Anyone" a card with Bling
Good morning everyone here it is another wonderful wet Wednesday here again oh roll on Summer. Well if it's Wednesday that means it's another Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
Oh what a week I didn't have a computer for 3 days that was like have my left arm chopped off as I'm very left handed!!! After cursing this computer and spending hours trying to sort it out, and was told by the computer experts ha ha that I needed a new Modem/ Router which I went out and bought!!! and didn't work as the ADSL light didn't come on!!! A little man with his tool kit arrived yesterday went out side looked at the telephone wiring said that one of my wires was corroded and was fixed in 5 minutes NO JOKING!!!

On to some good news I went to Junior and Youth prize giving on Saturday for both of my sons, and they both got one of the top awards in their respective teams for Sportsmanship I was so proud of both of them and very unexpected.

We have another wonderful sketch from our very own talented Arlana thanks so much Arlana.

This week our Sponsor is Sally-Ann Hancock

from

Digistamp Boutique

Sally- Ann is offering our lucky winner this week

10 free Digital Images that right !!! 10 free Digital Images

Isn't that a wonderful prize ???

You've got to be in to win so what are waiting for???
For my card this week, I chose an image that didn't have a lot of detail or colouring in, not that I was being lazy I wanted to see what I could do with this image as I had to make it work. I even had a couple of nights laying in bed thinking what I would do. Firstly it was a tropical island and drinks. No that didn't work. So I decided to Bling the card up looking at having Cocktails in a Nightclub!!! Well that what I thoughts anyway.

Card Recipe:

Base: White SU card.
Papers: Plain Aqua paper and Pattern Aqua Paper form Magnolia Papers and the silver paper from Rosie's Studio and Aqua Bazzill Bling.
Image: Summer Quencher from Digistamp Boutique
Colour Medium: Coloured with copic markers, the glass was coated all over with Glass Finish, when that dried I coated areas with Kindy Glitz so that it looks like a sparkly glass. The straw was coated with a coat of white glass coat.
Tools: Martha Stewart Lacy Doily punch.
Embellishments: Peacock ribbon, flowers, gems from my stash and the Silver Corners are from Peel Craft.

I put the Cherries to the side of the glass as I thought it looked a little bare and white space there. I want some Cherries could I find any, no way not on your life. In the end I found a WHITE that's right white Cherry button why would they make a white one and I had to colour it with my copics cut the back off and mounted it with a foam pop dot.

Now you've seen my card pop over to my wonderful team mates at Sweet Sketch Wednesday and see what wonderful eye candy they have put together for you this week!!!

Challenges:
1. The Crafty Calender Challenge - Blue & Flowers
2. My Partner In Crafting Crime - Recipe 3,2,1
3- Embellishments
2- Design Papers
1- Non Traditional item used, Peel Craft Corners
3. Southern Girls Challenge - Anything Goes

Skiing Mouse Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch #66

"Skiing Mouse"
Good morning and here it is another wonderful, warm Wednesday and you all know what that means it's Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
Firstly I would like to thank everyone that has sent me emails making sure that I'm OK over here in New Zealand after the Earthquake that struck at 4.30am on Saturday morning registering 7.1. It was in the South Island in Christchurch and I'm situated in the upper North Island but thank you so much for your concerns, we are all fit and well.
My prayers are with all the people in Christchurch and the surrounding areas, there is just so much damage to properties, the infer structure, schools, businesses and sports complexes. We are just so lucky that it happened at 4.30am in the morning rather than midday on Friday when people were shopping having lunch or even on Friday night out to dinner with families and friends. One resturant owner said they had been completely full that night and that resturant has been flattened to the ground. So far their have been no fatalities and that is because of what time the quake struck. They are still having lots of aftershocks and the largest being 5.1 this morning.
Well enough of the bad news and lets look forward to another wonderful Sweet Sketch Wednesday
