Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch #172 Sponsored by DigiStamp Boutique

 Graduation Louie
 from DigiStamp Boutique

Good morning everyone and welcome to another wonderful Wednesday which means it's Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
Today's card is for my son Liam once he Graduates from his present school and goes onto College next year.  He doesn't finish school until 12th December our Wedding Anniversary so I thought I would give him his card then and a little present to go with it.
As this card has been made for a young teenage male, I really didn't want to use a flower for my embellishments so I decided to make my own Graduation Certificate and Graduation Cap or Mortarboard as it's given name and I'm just so pleased how my card turned out.

Congratulations to our winner and our top 3 cards, great work ladies.

Here is this weeks Sketch you'll love the results and it's very simple and straight forward to make.

Becoming A Teenage Boy.

One of Liam's 13th Birthday Cards

Good morning everyone, I'm sharing a card I made a couple of weeks ago for my son's 13th Birthday.  It's pretty basic masculine card, if he had been a daughter this card would have been totally different as I would have add so many more embellishments and bling, something I couldn't do for my 13 year old son.
I feel what I did use was enough as this image told the story.
In the image you'll see a round black pillow my son has one just like it, it's like a mini bean bag and very stretchy which he takes to boarding school and loves they're called
"Cuddley Buddlies", so as soon as I saw the round pillow I knew I had to colour it black to match his, and I had to buy him a black one so it matched his "Manchester United Duvet Cover" for his bed (and they say girls are fussy).  But the funnest thing was as soon as he saw his card he said Mum you put my Cuddley Buddly in.  Well I didn't but Mo Manning did in this wonderful teenage digital image.

Finished card using 'Paul Typing' by Mo Manning.

Challenges I'm entering this card:
Card Ingredients:

1. Base: White SU
2. Coloured Card: Black, Red and Blue Bassill
3. Design Paper: Unknowen
4. Image: Paul Typing  digital image by Mo Manning
5. Colour Medium: Copics
6. Embellishments: Braids, Ribbon and Paper Clip all from my stash.

Take care everyone wishing you a wonderful weekend and happy crafting.

Cards for Men Challenge #18 G is for Green

G is for Green Games Boy

Today I'm entering one of Ryan's birthday cards into Cards for Men Challenge G is for Green.  Both of my boys have birthdays so close to each other that I have to come up with new and interesting cards for each of them as they are my biggest critics.

I made this card for Ryan's 10th birthday, and he knows how much I hate his PSP or XBox.  That's why they are only allowed to play them if it's raining or during the school holidays and school holidays can't come around quick enough in our house hold.

I was really pleased how this card turned out.

Card Recipe:
Base: White SU
Coloured Card: Blue and Green Bazzill
Design Paper: It's very old and unknown source
Image: Mo Manning's Game Boy
Colour Medium: Copics, Copic atyou Spica in gold, silver, black, black & white embossing pen and glass finish.
Tools: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities Square, Happy Birthday Embossing folder, pop dots and glue dots.
Embellishments: Ribbon and Fancy Paper Clip from my stash.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week of crafting.

"Gone Fishing" Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch #80

"Gone Fishing"
Good morning everyone, well what a week!!???!!! If it doesn't rain it pours!!! I've had major computer problems all week and haven't been able to get into blogger to comment on all of those wonderful cards, I do apologise for not commenting but I'll be back with you all this week. I haven't felt very well this week, my doctor changed my medication which hasn't been good, I'm feeling a little bit better today life still goes on. Late last week a good friend of mine lost her brother in a motorbike accident, he was hit by a car and killed instantly so the funeral is tomorrow.
Today is Sweet Sketch Wednesday and it's 11.32pm Wednesday night and I've finally been able to get into Blogger and post my card. Today is my boys last day of school for the year and are now on their summer holidays, so they are off until 1st February 2011. It's still very hot here in New Zealand around about two months too early, some parts of the country have been declared that they are in an official drought already and that is usually January and February so I think we are going to be having a very long hot summer.
