Sweet Sketch Wednesday #48 "Happy Birthday"

'Happy Birthday'
Good morning this is a very early posting for me today, I'm about to get the boys ready for school, my husband has already left to go into the city for his yearly conference which is held in Auckland at Sky City Tower once a year with over 2500 people and there are 1500 Sales people for his company. Today he is being recognised for being in the 25 in the country which is a milestone in it's self especially with today economic climate. He made the 25 about 3 years ago also another wonderful achievement I am so proud of him so I'm going as well to see him get presented and of course for lunch.LOL
Here's my take on another wonderful sketch from Arlana, a copy of the sketch below.

Stamp Something 'Funny Something Challenge'

RELAXING

Good evening everyone, well when saw what the Challenge for this week was I new exactly which card I would use. Because every time I look at this card it makes me smile. I had made this card in the New Year but hadn't taken any photo's of it, I had even forgotten that I made it until I was tiding up yesterday on my craft table. This is what I call "Summer" and that's what we are having here in New Zealand long hot days and lovely warm evenings and many days at our beach house having a wine and BBQ or two!!!
Card Recipe.
White SU card for the base card, lilac and pink papers from Creations, Mauve Bazzill and Bling Hot Pink Corrugated Cardboard.
Image is from Wendy at Digital Delights Cool Cat, coloured with Copic Markers and dark blue glitter gel pen.
Embellishments are from my stash, flowers, flat backed pearls, ribbon and gems for the Jandals.
Sentiment is PC generated using HAN SOLO font.
The ice in the cocktail and the Cat's glasses have been coated with Glass Coat for a 3D effect and shine.
I do hope you like my cat and I hope it makes you smile too.
Have a great weekend.

Cupcake Challenge Week 61 Buttons & Stitching

" Just Relax"!!!
Good morning everyone, well it's Sunday morning in my neck of the woods and it's a typical spring morning, one minute it's warm and sunny next minute there is a shower of rain and my washings getting wet and I haven't brought it in because I'm crafting instead.LOL
Here's my card for Buttons and Stitching.
The card base is white Bazzill and the pink and white papers are from my stash. My image has been mounted on green corrugated cardboard which was the perfect colour. The image is from Digi Delights Cool Cat. I've been looking forward to using this image for quite some time . Cool Cat has been coloured with Water Colour pencils and the ribbon and buttons are from my stash. Sentiment is PC generated using Han Solo Font. A Water Brush was used, white, pink and green gel pens for the faux stitching and waxed flax to stitch the buttons on. The Cat Sunglasses and Ice in her Cocktail has been coated with Glass Finish to give it a 3D effect.
I can't wait for summer.LOL
Take care and have a great Sunday

Craft Calendar Challenge #1 Autumn

AUTUMN
Good morning everyone, here is my card for Craft Calendar's 1st monthly challenge being Autumn. So hard for me to think of Autumn as we are in Springtime in the Southern Hemisphere and the daffodil's are out and the baby lambs are running about (and I forgot to say it snowed the other day only 3 1/2 hours away from us, yes we had a cold snap) LOL. But joking aside this was a first for me I've never made an Autumn card and it was really had to think about what I could do especially at 2am in the morning when I was meant to be sleeping or and in the morning having a shower. LOL
To make the card look Autumn I've layered leaves upon leaves around the Scarecrow as he's in the garden at the end of the season and everyone has forgotten about him except for the Blackbird keeping him company.
Well here's my card.
Card Recipe
Card Stock: Cream Bazzill for the base. Paprika Bazzill and a light brown looks like a brown paper bag colour not sure what brand but wasn't Bazzill.
Design Paper: Unknown brand a friend left a piece at my place after using my Spellbinders (Thanks Jen). I then stamped the paper with the same stamps on the side of my card in cream and heat embossed it to give it a pattern doesn't really show up in the photo but look really neat and great to touch.
Image: Scarecrow from Digi Delights by Louby Loo this was one of their Friday Freebees
Colour Medium: Water Colour Pencils and Gel Gliter Pens
Embellishments: Garden Stamps, Leaf Punch and Twine
Sentiment: PC generated font Papyrus Paprika Colour
Tools: Water Brush, Cuttlebug, Spellbinders Classic Square and Nestabilities Labels
String, Cream and Paprika Veramark Ink Pads, Heat Gun, Clear Embossing Powder
I'm really looking forward to next month for the Winter Challenge, by the time I get to make a Summer card our Summer in New Zealand will be well on the way.
Take care and thanks for looking
