FOXGLOVES DIGITALIS

Good morning and welcome to my blog. It's the middle of June, with only 6 months and 7 days to go until Christmas Day again.  This morning, I have another new sketch and card for Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.

Foxgloves are such beautiful flowers.  Late Spring, early summer in Queenstown and the Southern Alps of  New Zealand, the roadsides are covered with beautiful Foxgloves and with an amazing array of colours.

They are biannuals; in the first year, they grow the stalk, and in the second year, they have flowers.
They are highly poisonous, the leaves, flowers, seeds, and even the water they can sit in.  Ingestion can cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, blurred vision, and in severe cases, death.
I still love these flowers.

Sketch #305
Here's a quick peek at the inside of my card.

Don't forget to drop by Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and see what our design team have been up to and check out their wonderful work.
