"Roses Are Forever" Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch #64

"Roses Forever"
Another Sweet Sweet Wednesday already where has the time gone. Well it's not raining here today but it's very Windy and I have to go out and do some shopping today as Liam my eldest son turns 11 on Friday and he's off next week to the mountains skiing for his senior Year 6 Ski Camp. Don't kids have a great time at school now days Ski Camps we were excited to go to the Museum or the beach for the day, but in today's Curriculum the children do so much which is amazing learning for them in so many different ways rather than just sitting with textbooks all day. My boys are very lucky they go to a wonderful school with a wonderful Principal that only wants the best for all her children. This is Liam's last year at PEPS so we are all going to be sad in December when they all farewell each other. Liam and two of his friends are off to boarding school next year so February next year you won't be able to read my blog for tears I'll miss him terribly......I just have to remember he'll be home most weekends.
It's Wednesday and we all know what that means!!

Good morning Kathie! I love the lace and ribbon and little bouquet of flowers that you used to accent your darling image. Very cute! I really like the cream and red together.
Kathie, it is hard to let our Kids go off to school. I have had my grandson living with me for the past year and ahalf and he just left for school..I miss him terribly too. He will be coming home on weekenks too.

Kathie, Gorgeous card. I love the lace and the way the red is intertwined! So creative, I will keep that technique for use in one of my future creations. I love how big and full the flowers look. Thank you for your inspiration!
Lots of crafty hugs from across the Pacific!

Oh Kathie, this is beautiful! I love the delicate lace you used for your border and the beautiful roses are such a perfect accent! It is just a striking card! Thanks so much for all you do to help! Have a great week and enjoy the birthday celebration. I can't image an 11 year old going away to school and coming home on the weekends. I would be crying too!

Kathie, your card is so awesome! I love the lace you used and the ribbon that you weaved through it! What a great look! The reds are really striking! I'm afraid my little one will grow too fast that we will be sending her off to school! I know it will go faster than I want it to! Hope you have a great week!

Hey Kathie! Thanks for your sweet comment! I'm teaching 2nd grade this year...this is my first time! I have to remember that seven year olds are about the same as six year olds and that I don't need to freak out so much! :-)

Awh Kathie it's gorgeous! I love how you used the ribbon with the lace, storing that idea for a later date! :-D I can remember my first big adventure away from home but I was 17 and it was college and my poor Mother was a complete mess, I never had college on a Wednesday and I used to come home to see her and have lunch just to stop her crying. I spent most of my time travelling that first year between Kildare and Wicklow. Not fun for me but it got her through it! :-D

You made some excellent points there. I did a search about the subject and barely found any specific details on other websites, but then happy to be here, really, thanks.
