A Birthday Drink or 2 or 3, It's Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch #77

"JJ Instant Fun"
Good morning here it is another wonderful hot Wednesday morning here in New Zealand. We had breakfast outside this morning and it was very hot and 8.15am in the morning. My team mate Deanne said that it was snowing last week at 17 I thought that was unusual for that temperature then I reread her note again it was (-17) now I know why it was snowing and so cold. I don't think I've ever experienced that temperature in my life.
With a large earth quake in early October and hundreds upon hundreds of aftershocks it couldn't get any worse for people in the South Island. If you've seen any news in your part of the world you would have seen that we have 29 Coal Miners trapped 2.5km under ground they have been trapped since last Friday. The rescuers haven't gone in as yet because it's too dangerous and they are worried about the Carbon dioxide and Methane Gases At 2.37pm this afternoon there was another large blast caused by Carbon dioxide and Methane Gas build up again in the tunnel and now they presume that all 29 men that were trapped in the tunnel have been killed. My prayers and thoughts go out to their families and friends the youngest of the men was only 17 years old.
Now for some good news it's Wednesday and that means is another Sweet Sketch Wednesday and Arlana has another wonderful sketch for you to work your wonders with this week.

Kathie, you should have been here yesterday. With the wind chill it felt like -38C. I love it though, crazy I know! I was told once we had one of the widest span in temperatures. As we can easily get down to -40C in the winter and +40C in the summer. We got it all!

Love JJ - she looks like she is having a hoot with those pink drinks! LOVE all the sparkly details!

Deanne :)

Hi Kathie!
This card brings a smile to my face-cute image and I love what you've done with it like the crystal effects on the eyeglasses and the glitter on the Martini glasses! So much fun and great details.

Ooh Kathie the news about the miners is just terrible. I can only think of such a few mining disasters in my lifetime so to have 2 in recent months yet with totally opposite outcomes is heartbreaking.

I love your card! I think JJ looks fab and Im sure we all know a few friends that she reminds us of!

Hope to be able to join you for this challenge as that prize is amazing!

Hi Kathie, I could use a little of your warm weather too...It was about 27 degrees here this morning. I walk with a friend before work each day and boy, we have had to really bundle up the last few days. We are suppose to get snow. Kathie, you did a wonderful job coloring your image. I really like how you did her hair. Your DP and colors are perfect. I absolutely love that bow!!
Have a wonderful week!

I'm so jealous! I'm so cold here in the UK! We've already got some snow up north and it's supposed to be coming our way later this week. Gorgeous card - that image is just fab! Wedgie xxx

I am one of those women that avoids the news like the plague, so I had not heard about the miners. That is terrible. My thoughts are with their families! On a happier note, I love the image you used for this card. I love how you colored her hair.
