Strawberries For You Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch # 91

"Strawberry Lou"
Good morning everyone, well what a week in New Zealand's history and how so much can change in a matter of minutes that can effect all of our lives.  Well a week has passed and there have been no new rescues of survivors out of last weeks Earth Quake that struck Christchurch.  I found out the following day that my brother was in Christchurch that day on a business trip, thank goodness they decided not to have a second coffee at a cafe that was totally destroyed.  It was a matter of leaving 5 minutes earlier for the airport.  He was just in the right place at the right time.

Last night at 10.10pm there was another Earth Quake this time in the North Island situated in Wellington which is about an 8 hour drive from where I live.    Wellington is the capital of New Zealand and also has our Parliament Buildings there.  They are predicting another large quake about the 20th of March so watch this space..............................
It's still very warm in the North Island and we are still having lovely hot summers days but yesterday was the first official day of autumn which only means winter is on it's way and I'm not looking forward too.  It's another Wednesday and that mean it's another
Sweet Sketch Wednesday and congratulations to all our winner this week there were some really lovely cards.

This week we've had another great sketch to work with which Arlana created for us, isn't it great?

Tools: Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder Floral Fantasy, Nestabilities Classic Circle, Scalloped Edge Circle.  Glue dots, Pop Dots.  Martha Stewart Leaf punch
Embellishments: Ribbon, gems and pearls from my stash.

You are right, everything can change in a blink of an eye.

Your card is AWESOME! Your coloring is perfectly perfect. Just an amazing card all around.

I would love to know how "cold" (heehee) it gets during your winters. It's actually a balmy -29C right now LOL. Had to grab the snowboarding pants from the car trunk to keep my legs warm yesterday (it got down to -43C during the day). Don't let my "complaining" fool you - I love the cold!

Oh my goodness Kathie, telling about your brother made me shiver! A friend of mine over slept and was late for work Sept. 11th, yes, in the Twin Towers! Wow, the good Lord was watching over both!

Your card is magnificent!!!!! I mean would you look at that coloring, out of this world wonderful!! Fun, bright, happy and springy (summery in your neck of the woods!). Have a wonderful day.

Wow, Kathie, I am so glad to hear that your brother is ok. Things can change so quickly and we just have to be grateful for each day. I bet everyone is on pins and needles wondering what the next one will be like. I have lived in earthquake country and have been in a few myself. They are very unsettling to say the least.
Kathie it seems like yesterday when you posted that spring had started in your part of the world. I can't believe it is now fall over there...
Your card is amazing this week. It is one of those "feel good all over cards". I love every little detail. The colors are so yummy and I just love how you have colored your image. It is gorgeous. And, colored to perfection. Kathie, I hope you have a wonderful week.
Hugs, Nancy

Kathie, I am so happy that your brother is alright! Those are the little miracles in our lives that can sometimes go unnoticed unless we recognize how we truly have been blessed. Well, the NW is certainly due for another earthquake. It has been 10 years since our 6.8. I thought our house was going to jump off it's foundation!
Kathie, you card sends out sweetness from every portion of it. I love your sweet colors, papers and dimension and the embossing! Those little pearls on her shoes are adorable!
Thanks for your sweet comment today. I had way too much fun this week. Please check out the unveiling and transfer!
Have a great week!

What a sweet card Kathie!

I have been thinking a lot about you, hoping that you are okay. I am so glad that your brother chose not to have that second coffee!

Still go the Cricket going, England lost to Ireland (gasp) but one of their players did have an amazing match which I am sure you have heard about, A century in 50 balls!
