Sweet Sketch Wednesday Sketch #219 Sponsor Deidre Mosher

Happy Father's Day

Welcome to another wonderful Sweet Sketch Wednesday.
Congratulations to last weeks winner and to our Top 3 cards.

Oh where oh where did all our entries and followers go to last week are you all on your summer holidays???
I think we had more Design Team cards than entries and that's really sad especially when I see other Sketch Challenges closing down and other challenges having  464 entries and 786 entries I so wish some of you would come and visit us and see our wonderful sketches and one amazing Design Team that comments on everyone's cards and puts so much work into our challenges.

Ok Kathie you've said your piece and onto our wonderful sketch this week design by very own
Sally Dube.

Sketch #219
This is a very easy sketch and again great for using up scrap pieces of deign paper and card, apart from my background paper all of this card was make out of scraps.

Here's my card using the BBQ King and I'm so excited that I'm organised and have my husbands
Father's Day card made for him early as Father's Day isn't until the 1st Sunday in September  here in  New Zealand.  That would really make a change for me being that organised and not making my card the night before the day.

This week our sponsor is
Deidre Mosher
Deidre Mosher Bio

Wildly Whimsical and Seriously Sassy Art is definitely a trademark of Deidre Mosher.

I have been in the business of art for over 25+ years. Starting out as a fashion illustrator, moving into Art Direction, where I did everything from print to TV...and eventually I found my way back to illustration. My art is just plain fun and my love of color is clearly evident in the designs I create. I'm currently licensed with a variety of companies...my designs are used on craft products, greeting cards/paper products, kitchenware, business products and such.
I am first and foremost an...Illustrator and Designer. I am inspired by seriously sassy & bold colors, but also love the 'wow factor' of classic black and white designs. I'm crazy for stripes and dots, and they are a repeated theme in my work.

As an Illustrator, I work in many mediums and styles, ranging from the line art to pastels...having fun adapting them to the latest project. I am inspired by some my favorite artists ...Matisse's use of bold color, Klimt's knowledge of figures and lavish attention to detail, and Gauguin's wild approach to his subjects. They are all so 'awe inspiring'! I'm happiest when I am in my studio and starting a new project...making a mess, experimenting...and even throwing paint.

Any day in the studio is a great day!

I usually get an idea when I least expect it...so when the 'light bulb' goes off...I sketch and sketch and sketch...(hence the reason I buy tracing paper in bulk). I always begin with a pencil and paper, and it evolves from there. My favorite part of the process?? EVERYTHING...from beginning to end.

This week our luck winner will receive
Prize: $10 Gift Certificate

and you can check out Deidre's images here:

I really like the black and white houndstooth DP ion the background... really nice for a male card. And you certainly have made a nice interpretation of that sketch! Thank you for sharing your project in the “Don't Get Your Twine in a Tangle ” Challenge!

Well said Kathie. I think everyone must have been on their holidays last week. I know that here in the UK it is mid-way through the school summer holidays at the moment so loads of people are away.

Great card this week. I love that you have used mostly scraps. I also think the black works really well.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more entries this week.

Hope you have a great week.

Well look at you getting so organized ;) This is the perfect card for your hubby and the color combo is very fun and so are the papers you used. You had asked about the bow on my card, and yes it is basically a double bow but I kind of tie it a bit differently. Hard to explain really. I'll have to video it some time! The flower center is from Stampin' Up and it's called an adornment, and the back of it is flat so it's easy to glue on. Do you have access to Stampin' Up there?

Peace & Luv,
Jeannie
