Cards for Men Challenge #18 G is for Green

G is for Green Games Boy

Today I'm entering one of Ryan's birthday cards into Cards for Men Challenge G is for Green.  Both of my boys have birthdays so close to each other that I have to come up with new and interesting cards for each of them as they are my biggest critics.

I made this card for Ryan's 10th birthday, and he knows how much I hate his PSP or XBox.  That's why they are only allowed to play them if it's raining or during the school holidays and school holidays can't come around quick enough in our house hold.

I was really pleased how this card turned out.

Card Recipe:
Base: White SU
Coloured Card: Blue and Green Bazzill
Design Paper: It's very old and unknown source
Image: Mo Manning's Game Boy
Colour Medium: Copics, Copic atyou Spica in gold, silver, black, black & white embossing pen and glass finish.
Tools: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities Square, Happy Birthday Embossing folder, pop dots and glue dots.
Embellishments: Ribbon and Fancy Paper Clip from my stash.

Wishing everyone a wonderful week of crafting.

Sugar Creek Hollow

Make It Masculine

Vintage Spitfire

Good morning everyone, wow what a busy weekend it was.  It was my eldest son's birthday,  Liam turned 12 years old and apart from Swimming, playing Soccer and Cricket his passion is to read about World War I and II as well as following Manchester United Soccer Team and of course the
New Zealand All Black Rugby Team.

I finished Liam's birthday cards late Friday evening, I had purchased this Vintage Spitfire from Delicious Doodles and thought that this was the perfect image for him.  I really pleased how his card turned out. but for the life of me I wasn't sure what I would use for the embellishments especially for a boys card and at that age you can't use flowers.  I looked in my local scrap booking store but they had nothing I could use,  so I came home and made some my self.
Vintage Spitfire from Delicious Doodles

Today I'm entering my card into Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge which is

Make It Masculine
This is the very first time for me to enter this challenge and it won't be the last as it looks very interesting and I do hope my card is Vintage enough to qualify for this challenge.

This is the added ribbon at the bottom of the card and the circle represent the circles that are on the Spitfire and on the wings.

I made this to represent the the Medals and the Air Force Stripes that have been awarded and are on the Pilots lapel.

Card Recipe:
Base: White SU
Card: Navy Blue Bazzill, Gunmetal Grey Paper
Design Paper: Samantha Luck Camouflage Paper (Thanks Sharon for your help on that).
Image: Vintage Spitfire from Delicious Doodles
Colour Medium: Copics, Gold and Silver Gel Pens
Tools: Glue Dots, Pop Dots, Glass finish for the Cockpit
Embellishments: Ribbons and Brads from my stash.

Happy Crafting everyone

Pretty Handbag

Wow what a week here in New Zealand last Wednesday I was saying how hot it was on the Soccer Field as we were having a very middle and warm winter.  Today is a polar blast from the South Pole and it's freezing here.
On Monday it snowed in my town the last time it snowed here it was 1939 and KNOW I wasn't around to see it.
I was on my computer commenting on cards and I looked out of the French Doors about 11.15am and thought I was seeing things I looked again and it wasn't raining nor  was it hail that's right it was Snow.
My son was so excited when I picked him up from school telling me all about the snow, it's not that he hasn't seen snow before or been in the snow when it snowing  because he ski's,  but it must have been fun to see it with his friends from school and some of these children haven't seen Snow before and were over the moon and very excited.

Congratulations to all our winners this week there were so many great cards, thanks so much for joining us it's lovely to see your cards.
