Got Tractor

Good morning and welcome to my blog.  Today being Wednesday it means it's another wonderful Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.
Congratulations to our winner and to our top 3 cards.

This week Sally has another wonderful sketch to work with which is really easy and you wouldn't believe it but most of our DT's chose a masculine images for their cards, and none of us knew what each other had chosen.

Sketch# 024
I've made a Father's Day card for my husband from the boys, Father's Day here in New Zealand is the 7th September and is always the first Sunday in September.

This photo is the reason for my card.  We purchased this John Deere Tractor February this year.
Her name is Bertha( I named her Bertha as she looks so big) and my husband loves her to bits.  We purchased her to be able to tow our boat from our Bach to our boat ramp rather than using our Jeeps for launching our boat.  Here is Bertha before her makeover, the front end loader has been sold, she had new mudguards, rubber seals, and  she's currently in the paint shop finishing her total makeover which she needed as she's 32 years old and hasn't ever been loved like she is now by my husband.
I'll post an up to date photo once she's finished.

This week our sponsor is Laurie from Doodle Pantry, wow Laurie has totally amazing images and just so many to choose from and some sets have precoloured images and design papers attached to the file as well.

Bio:

Hello, my name is Laurie.   I'm just a regular Joe crafter.  While trying to
find digital images that met my own crafting needs, I decided to draw some of my own, as I had so many unique (weird!) ideas that I just couldn't locate elsewhere.   I sincerely hope something I've done inspires you to go create something to bring a smile to someone else and hope you enjoy creating to your hearts content with some of my doodles..

I can't wait to see what Bertha is going to look like! I love old tractors ... my grandpa had a red one. There is something wonderful about old things (says the girl who has an addiction to antiques!)

Your card is fantastic. That burlap is THE perfect touch to the card!

Bertha is awesome, Kathie. My father in law worked for International Harvester for a lot of years, sooo we are a red tractor family. LOL...the green ones are great too. Don't tell anyone from my family that I said that. I love your fun card. It was really fun to make these masculine cards this week.
