Dinky and Flowers

Good morning and welcome to Kathie'z Kardz.  I do hope you all had a lovely week and with what I've commented on over at SSW2 you've all been busy with your amazing creations.  Congratulation to our winner and to our top 3 cards great work everyone.

Well they say Boys will be Boys.  That's right I've had a week of my two, one of them got tackled at school last Friday and he has a broken left arm and the eldest was playing Water Polo the other night and broke his ring finger on his left hand and he happens to be left handed.  Say no more but I've seen enough of doctors and A & E clinics this week for a lifetime.

This week Sally had another great sketch which is really easy and looks great finished.

Sketch #48

Here's my finished card.

I used Dinky and Flowers a wonderful image from this weeks sponsor
Sally-Ann Hancock the owner and illustrator over at
DigiStamp Boutique.

Sally-Ann has been sponsoring Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and Sweet Sketch Wednesday once a month since these challenge blogs started which we all really appreciate and just love working with her amazing images.

Don't forget to drop by the rest of the design team over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 and see what they've created using DigiStamp Boutique images.

Challenges I'm entering:

Card Recipe:

1. Base: White SU
2. Coloured Card: American Craft Spinach Green
3. Design Paper: Kaisercraft La De Da Collection Skip
4. Image: Dinky and Flowers by DigiStamp Boutique
5. Colour Medium: Copics

5. Tools: Cuttlebug, Spellbinders Floral Oval on of my favorites, Spellbinders label, Martha Stewart Lace punch. EK flower punch, pop dots, glue dots, Real Tacky glue.

6. Embellishments: Gold coloured Daisies from my stash.

7. I didn't have any flowers in my stash that were the right colours so I made the center flower using the large EK flower punch.  Each layer was cut from scraps of Bazzill, or American craft card, there were 5 layers in total 1 green, 2 mauve and 2 purple.  They were spayed with water and I scrunched each layer up and I waited for them to dry then I undid them and layered them together and added a mauve moonstone brad for the center of the flower.

8. Embellishments: Gold gems for the flower centers, yellow daisies, and mauve moonstone brad.

9. Sentiment: I used a Spellbinders die on white SU card and the sentiment is computer generated using Papyrus font.

10. Inside my card the same as the outside but there isn't any added embellishments only the sentiment.

11. The back of my card the finishing touch.

Wishing you all a wonderful week and happy crafting.

I love this card Kathie, beautiful fresh spring colours and your purple flower is fantastic. It sounds like you have had a hectic week with all those broken bones, I hope that the boys are quick healers. Hugs Anne xx
