Mary Boo's Candy Cane

Good morning and welcome to my blog, well our Autumn (Fall) has finely struck, we've had such wonderful weather up until now.  In the last three days it hasn't stopped raining and last night the temperatures finely dropped and it was about 6 Celsius.  In other parts of New Zealand where they get it colder than us they had snow.  Some areas got a little bit, but in the South Island in Queenstown and Wanaka they got a blanket of snow and some of the ski slops are nearly ready for a bumper season of skiing.
Today is Wednesday which means we have another wonderful Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.  Congratulations to our winner and to our top 3 cards.  Great work everyone.

This week as it's the last Wednesday of the month we are revisiting one of our older sketches a blast from the past it's sketch #234 which we used on 27th November 2013.  You can check the posting of mine here.

Sketch #234

Here's my card using our sponsors image from Lacy Sunshine and the image that I've used is
Mary Boo's Candy Cane

Here's my blast from the past used on 27 November 2013.

We used it again on 24th September 2014

Today I very proud to say that this week our sponsor is
Lacy Sunshine.

Bio:

Heather Valentin  is  creative ,  award winning,  modern-day  fantasy and  whimsical  artist who has displayed a dynamic and vibrant energy while painting professionally for over 18 years.

She  began to express herself creatively through movement at a very young age.
For many years she studied dance, being drawn to forms that allowed creative self expression, all the while feeling this constant urge to create with her hands. The canvas is now her dance floor where colour, beauty and drama are expressed through her every pencil sketch and  brush stroke. Her  subjects vary from fairies, fantasy, mermaids, vampires, dragons, wildlife, abstract and more. She is one who is inspired in a single moment. Her  dreams, moods and the the unfolding beauty of the world around her is what charts her dance for the day. She is most alive when sketching and painting, creating timeless pieces that reflect her heart and soul. Drawing breathes life into her soul- it enables her to reach out and touch lives. This gives her a place in the world one character and painting at a time.
Heather's  artist portfolio  has  expanded to include such  clients  as   Pepsi, Outback Steakhouse, Nabisco, Zephryhils  and can now be found  at Laguna Art, Third Stone Art Gallery and Sausalito Art Galleries, along with commercial and private collections across the globe.
Her latest foray is to immortalize her popular drawn characters Eleanor and Pickles in a children's book of their own.

This is darling Kathie! Love that sweet image and your blue paper is fabulous. Sorry to hear that you had a touch of winter (though actually, Autumn is my favorite season of all!) You asked in a previous post how long we have snow. The answer is quite often. It can come as early as September and sometimes continues until May. Buuut, it never lasts long because we have quite a bit of warm winds. Even when we get a ton of snow, it usually disappears within days. Enjoy your Fall weather!
