DU2DS Challenge #25 "HOT COFFEE ANYONE???"

Hot Coffee Anyone???

Good morning everyone, thanks for coming by and having a look at my card. When I saw Larissa's wonderful sketch I just new I had to make a card but didn't know what!!! I've always wanted to make a card with either a cup of tea or coffee and this was my idea for this card. I also wanted to incorporate a Shaker Style Card as well, I had seen it done and never had a go. The shaker on either side has Ground Coffee Beans for this coffee card. I think they are
Irish Cream the first I grabbed out of the fridge. The coffee cup has been cut out and mounted with double sided foam pop dots.
Well you've seen my card and now here's my
Card Recipe:
Base: Cream SU Card Stock
Coloured Cards: Mocha, Natural Cards, Paprika Bazzill and Metallic Bronze has been in my stock for sometime and can't remember where I got it from.
Image: New image of Any one for Tea from Digi Sparkle
Colour Medium: Copic's
Embellishments: Gold Thread, Ground Coffee Beans, Acetate for the shaker windows
Sentiments: CK Alis Hand Official in Brown
Tools: Cuttlebug, Square Nesties, Classic Scalloped Nesties, Foam doublesided pot dots.
I hope you like my card, next time I'm going to try this idea with a cup of tea and dried tea in the shakers.
Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Hugs

Stampin for the Weekend Challenge #24 Celebration

Celebration 40th Birthday and 50th Birthday's
This is the first time I have entred into Stampin for the Weekend Challenge.
Good morning everyone well it's Sunday morning here in New Zealand and I'm just getting over Saturday night, because for us it was one of those weekends. Sports all morning with my boys on the cricket field and that afternoon I had to race home and make a couple of cards that I should have done a week ago and left it to the last minute as you do LOL. We had a double whammy this weekend, my husband had clients, a husband and wife that were turning 50 and had a wonderful 50th birthday party then we had another with my nephew and partner were both turning 40 so we attended both and raced from one side of town to the other, we had to put an appearance into both.
Next weekend we have a 60th to go to, now I'm showing my age we don't get to go to 21st any more I wonder why???
I made two very simple cards I designed some time ago, I think they look nice and very appropriate for the occasions.
Here's my card Recipe
Base: White SU card stock
Design Paper: Nil
Trim card: Mauve, and Apple Green Bazzill
Images: Sweet peas from the wonderful Chris Dark from Sketching Stamper my favourite image of Chris's.
Colour Medium: Water colour pencils
Embellishments: White & Silver Satin Ribbon, Gems from my stash
Sentiment: PC generated font AdineKirnberg-Script and Copper Plate Gothic
Tools: Water Brush, Cuttlebug, Divine Swirls Embossing Folding my favourite, Spellbinders Nestabilities Square, and the Sweet peas were painted with Glass Coat to give a 3D affect
I do hope you like the cards and thanks for looking.

Cupcake Challenge Sketch #64

Sketch Week #64
Good afternoon everyone, and what a beautiful Friday afternoon we have in New Zealand it's hot and sunny and hopefully the rain has gone somewhere else for the weekend.
This weeks Cupcake Challenge Sketch is just adorable I just love it so here's my take on the sketch.
Card Recipe:
  • Base White SU Card Stock
  • No design papers used but I did use different colour Bazzill's to tone in with my image
Purple, Olive Green, Apple Green, Indigo and Mauve
  • My Image is Bluebells from the very talented Chris Dark at Sketching Stamper, if you haven't used one of Chris's digi stamps hop over to her website here Sketching Stamper and have a look for yourself at her wonderful drawings and they are so easy to use.
  • Colour Medium used were Copic's Ciao and I'm starting to get use to them.
  • They only embellishment I used was the Purple Velvet ribbon I didn't think that the card needed any thing else. I didn't want to over do it as the image is so pretty.
  • Cuttlebug, Spellbinders Nestabilities Squares.

Thank you for looking at my card and I do hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and be careful on the those roads where ever you are.

Big Hugs

DU2DS Challenge 24 "No Squares Allowed Shaped Card"

" No Squares Allowed Shaped Card"

Good morning everyone, an overcast type of day in my neck of the woods it doesn't know if it should rain or let the sun come out! hopefully the sun. I really had to think about what type of card I was going to do. I looked at so many different images I would have liked to use but as I planned to make a round card the images really didn't fit. Here is my card I do hope you like it.

My Card Recipe

Backing card White Bazzill which I print the Turquoise Gingham paper onto. This was a free download from The Craft Table and the colours of these Gingham's are wonderful and I used sea green Bazzill. The image is from Digi Stamp Boutique and this is Lilly. Lilly was coloured with my new Copic's which I'm still getting used to. The embellishments are from my stash, gems, ribbon and flowers. Some of the flowers I already had the yellow and small aqua so I used white flowers and coloured them with my Copic's which is a wonderful idea I read somewhere. I couldn't have done that with coloured pencils could I? LOL

Many thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your week.

Friday Sketchers Challenge #76

Good morning everyone another wonderful spring morning here in New Zealand. Due to hang the washing out soon and sure enough it will rain. Here is my Christmas Card on the above sketch. I love the sketch but took my ages to match my papers would have been a good idea to put my papers together first then colour the image. Oh well my mistake.
Here my take on this great sketch.
The card base is made from White Bazzill and the Aqua paper is from my stash I think its a Crafty Creations paper. The red card stock is Red Bazzill and the design paper is from
which is a wonderful collection. The sentiment is mounted on some very old made made paper I have had for years and it was the best match for the colours I used. I'll know next time. LOL
The image is Cherry Kiss Snowball from Pollycraft and has been colour with my new Copic Ciao Markers, White Gel Pen and if you look closely the white fur and one of the snowballs has been covered with Martha Stewart glitter. The tag is her shopping list for Christmas. Embellishments were red gems from Crafty Creations and some silver yarn. The sentiment is PC generated using CK Alis Hand Official font and this was cut out using a Nestabilities tag and cuttlebug.
Have a great week and thanks for looking.
