Colour Create Challenge #42 Lilac, Grey and White

My Take on Lilac, Grey and White
Good morning everyone and what a beautiful Saturday Autumn morning it is here in New Zealand there isn't a cloud in the sky, too good to be sitting inside at my computer. Easter weekend I was at our beach house and rather than making any cards I decided just to colour some images which I thought I could use at a latter date, depending on the image and it's good practice for me especially using my new Copic's and yes I did make a couple of cards. I'm still trying to get the blending of colours together like I should. This image is one of my very favourite images from Chris Dark at Sketching Stamper. Sweet pea's are one of my very very favourite flowers as my dad always grew them for my mum in the spring and there are so many wonderful colours to choose. Did you know that most of the Sweet pea seeds for Sale in England and Europe are grown here in New Zealand in Gisborne and then exported to England.

Card Recipe

  • Base of card White SU stock
  • Silver grey and Lilac metallic papers
  • Gingham paper is by Beary Patch Basic Backgrounds Grapebeary
  • Cuttlebug, Divine Swirls embossing folder
  • Ribbon and gems from my stash
  • Bow made using my Bow Easy
  • White glaze pen

I look at the photo and unfortunately the Lilac paper hasn't come out in colour as well as real life, because the Lilac paper and the Gingham paper were a perfect match. I do hope you enjoy these Sweet pea's as much as I do. Take care have a great weekend and many thanks for looking.

Hugs

Hi Kathie! Hope you're well and it sounds like you had a good Easter break. Your card is gorgeous and your copic colouring is looking fantastic. Love your design and the embossed panel is the perfect background. I was interested to read about the sweet pea seeds, inspiration and information LOL, you can't beat that! Take care, have a good weekend and thanks for the link up, much appreciated. Chris xx

Oh such a beautiful card Kathie, I love sweet peas also and never knew that they mostly begin in NZ! What a lot of air miles they do!!

Beautiful colours youve chosen!!

Sweet peas remind me of having both of my girls, they were born in June and my Mums sweetpeas were then in full bloom!!

Going to a beach house for Easter sounds amazing, perhaps next time you might share some photos!?
